Motivation and Emotion meets Metacognition and Self-regulated Learning
It is our great pleasure to welcome more than 250 researchers from all over the world to the 17th International Conference on Motivation (ICM) and the Joint Day of the EARLI SIGs Motivation and Emotion as well as Metacognition and Self-regulated learning. The exciting conference program includes 6 keynote presentations, 5 invited symposia and 1 Oxford-style debate from world leading experts, and approximately 40 posters and 115 paper presentations.
Today’s social and economic developments require education to prepare students for a dynamically developing global and technological world. Research in the fields of Motivation, Emotion, Metacognition, and Self-regulated Learning is of particular importance to develop approaches for empowering people to act flexibly and adaptively in different roles or fields, and to actively contribute to interaction, collaboration and knowledge generation in a world of rapid and complex changes.
The joint events of the conference will be a place to go beyond disciplinary boundaries by sharing and discussing research issues and findings from all fields of Motivation, Emotion, and Metacognition. It will also offer great opportunities for detecting new pathways for collaborations that will contribute research findings to inform the design of environments for smart learning and instruction.
We are very much looking forward to an inspiring conference
from August 24th until August 26th 2022 in our beautiful city of Dresden.
