Conference Dinner
Thursday August 25th, 2022 after the SIG8 Business Meeting (starting at around 20:00)
French Pavilion of Restaurant Alte Meister, Theaterplatz Dresden

The conference dinner will take place in a wing of the famous Dresden Zwinger. On this evening you will have the choice be seated in the French Pavilion, or in the Restaurant itself. Furthermore, you may enjoy the company of friends and colleagues either in the very beautiful baroque garden of the Zwing-er or in its beautiful Nymph Bath. The Nymph Bath in the Dresden Zwinger is one of the most beauti-ful fountains and open space compositions created in the Baroque period. All senses are involved: The eye is delighted by the statues of the more or less clothed nymphs, the ear hears the lovely splashing of the fountains and one feels on hot days the pleasant coolness of the humidity emanating from shady walls.

Conference Wrap-Up

Carolaschlösschen (Großer Garten)
Ten minutes walk from the Conference Venue from August-Bebel-Straße via Gustav-Adolf-Straße and Oskar-Straße

On Friday evening, we have reserved tables at the picturesque Carolaschlösschen in the wonderful park Großer Garten. Those who want to continue their discussions or just enjoy the company of friends and colleagues together with nice food and drinks are very welcome. If the weather is nice we may sit in the beautiful garden with a view on the park-lake. In case we have to go inside we will be seated in the art-deco hall of the restaurant.
